Lucy Stack is an excellent costumier and a credible costume dresser whose work is accurate and faultless. Starting out in the meticulous world of bridal design she learnt valuable skills in dress making and corsetry, which after graduating in Costume Design from Wimbledon College of Art stood her in good stead for period costume construction and dressing on the 18th century Hogarth inspired costume drama ‘City of Vice’. She then progressed onto ‘The Peter Serafinowicz Show’ for BBC 2. Working as a versatile dresser on a series of comedy sketches set through out the last decade.After designing for the touring theatre company Love & madness, Lucy was offered a trainee position on BBC 1’s mainstream show Eastenders.
Lucy has progressed very quickly as a Costume Dresser familiar with both dressing large crowds, specifics & principle artists. So far to date her greatest achievement has been supervising on a big BBC 1 commercial which involved the whole Eastenders cast for the 25th Anniversary. Lucy enjoys broadening her knowledge in costume and has recently worked on ITV’s the Bill and Let’s Dance for Comic relief.
Lucy is a capable costume designer and has just finished a short film called ‘Ellie’ produced by Bigger Pictures. The film follows Ellie on her journey to becoming a professional boxer. Lucy encapsulated the amateur boxing world accurately and creatively on a show string budget! As well as working in costume Lucy also enjoys fashion styling and has worked successfully as a stylist and make-up artist for hair professionals such as Affinage, Goldwell and Wella.
Lucy has an excellent understanding of costume production and her wide skill base allows her to be tremendously creative and get the best out of any budget. She always works incredibly hard to achieve the look desired and has an amazing ability to get along with her team and produce great results!
